A vet's explanation

Daisy was injured and it wasn't taken care of correctly or at all when it happened. This is what the vet described as her needs. These procedures are very expensive and the family needs your help to pay for it all. Daisy will be going to the University of Tennessee in Knoxville to the vet school for help.

Has very severe orthopedic issues.

-Angular deformities of left elbow and carpus. Angular deformity and hyperextension of right carpus. We sedated him and took 2 x-rays views of each front leg.

-Right leg has an old malunion frac.-this has healed crooked and is destroying the elbow on the right side.

-Left leg is not as bad--some sort of surgery was done on the medial carpus-probably due to ligament damage from a HBC injury. This along with the extra weight bearing (due to opposite leg injury) is causing the carpus to overextend.

-Only place that could deal with theses issues is UT. Left leg (old fracture/elbow problem) is most pressing problem.

Help Daisy

Daisy is almost a year old, now spayed and she has some damage to her front legs and feet. Her previous owners said that when she was 4 months old she was hit by a car. She gets around fine but her legs aren't right. Her nails are so long they look deformed.
